Whether in North Carolina of some other state, road intersections are notoriously dangerous. At any given time, vehicles are traversing the junction to get to their destinations, and whenever traffic patterns cross, the potential for accidents arises. Such seems to be the case in a recent accident in West Charlotte that seriously injured two people.

Accident details

According to reports, the crash occurred around 5 a.m. on Feb. 15. The crash happened at the intersection of West Morehead Street and Wilkinson Boulevard and involved three vehicles. One vehicle was flipped onto its roof in the crash and other took down a power pole. Although no power outages were reported in the area, one side of Wilkinson was closed for some time.

During the accident, two people suffered serious injuries and were rushed to a local medical center. No word was given on the identity of the victims or their supposed role in the crash, nor were any updates given as to their current condition. The report did not specify a cause for the accident, and authorities are still investigating the cause.

Seeking compensation

Provided they were not materially responsible for causing the crash, those injured in this accident reserve the right to pursue civil claims against the driver believed to have been at fault in an attempt to recover documented monetary damages. Evidence gained by authorities regarding the cause of the accident may be of use in the plaintiff’s claims. By working closely with an experienced personal injury attorney in North Carolina, injured parties can obtain a full understanding of their rights and options with regards to compensation.
