It is not uncommon for people to do things when they are young that they would never do when they grow up. For some people, it might be something as innocuous as staying out late, but for others, it can mean something as serious as committing a crime. It is crucial that young people have someone on their side who is thinking of their future and their potential. A strong juvenile defense strategy may be a young person’s best chance. This is what one young man here in North Carolina may need after being charged with several crimes, including armed robbery.

Police say that a 14-year-old boy is suspected of committing several armed robberies with a 19-year-old male accomplice. They are accused of robbing three different pizza delivery drivers on three separate dates in January. Law enforcement claims that the pair also stole the vehicle of one delivery driver. They have also stated that the younger boy has been charged with robbing another pizza delivery driver in December.

The 14-year-old has been charged with several crimes, including two counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon and larceny of a motor vehicle. He is being held in juvenile detention and there is no word regarding an upcoming court date. The other individual has been arrested on similar charges and is being held on bond.

Police have not said whether they believe the younger boy was influenced in any way by the older one. This is something that can happen sometimes to young people and it may cause them to do things they wouldn’t ordinarily do. It is important that youths in North Carolina accused of a crime have someone with experience handling juvenile defense cases on their side. Conviction can have lifelong consequences, and they need the best chance they can get at a bright future.
